Wedding & Portrait Photography in Leighton Buzzard, Beds…
Hi and thanks for stopping by. My name is Uzair Kharawala and I am a portrait & wedding photographer based in Leighton Buzzard, Beds. I specialise in capturing you and your loved ones in a relaxed manner which you’ll cherish forever. My specialty is shooting on-location, that’s why I don’t have a studio with 4 walls with the same old boring props! My studio can be your back garden, on a beach, up a hill or anywhere you fancy! The choice is yours.
I’m a cricket fanatic, been photographing since I was a kid, follow Chelsea FC (just to make my son happy!), favourite website BBC, cameras: Nikon of course, enjoy playing Wii, going out to eat and meeting people. I’m proud & privileged to be a Nikon ‘Evangelist’ and am part of the Nikon Training Team in the UK for professional photographers. Also am very privileged to be on the ‘Preferred Supplier List’ of these very fine venues, The Grove, The Sculpture Gallery and The Inn at Woburn.
This blog-site features my life in general, my work, my travels and anything and everything which interests me. For regular updates and latest news, become my Facebook friend, follow me on Twitter or subscribe to this site.
Claire & James at The Ice Hotel, Sweden
I’ve received quite a few emails as to when the images will be up. The images will be online soon once the couple have come back from their honeymoon. So please come back in the next few days and enjoy the images. Well here’s one for all of you which is one of my faves from the wedding. Full story and more images to follow….

“Who else wants to know how to get Designer Portraits at Outlet Prices!!!?”
From: Uzair Kharawala, 1900hrs
Dear Friend,
If you are interested in professional quality family portraits … then this is going to be the most exciting message you ever read.
Here’s why:
An incredible offer which you won’t find anywhere else “Portraits on CD“. Imagine being able to use YOUR images in any shape or form. No restrictions on how you can use them. You get high-resolution files to use as much as you like. Make prints, create stunning slideshows for your digital frame or your computer, order personalised photo-gift items or even a wall-sized canvas starring you or your family. The choice is yours!! Wouldn’t that be great?
Or what about if you could get away from all the high pressure sales presentation, no need to go back to the studio for viewing your images during the rush hour or even take time off work. You get your images sent directly to you through the post after your photo session. How would that feel if you could do this?
Imagine being able to share your family images with your loved ones over Facebook, Flickr and other social networking websites. You have full permission to use the images as you like. There are NO restrictions. Email them over or make prints from any online or high street store. You get a certificate for using these images without breaking any copyright laws. It truly is possible, but you need to know how.
That’s what this brand new portrait offer could help you to do. And it’s not like any other boring photo session in a studio.
Get professional award-winning photography for a fraction of the price (which usually costs hundreds of £££ at a studio and many studios don’t offer this at all!)
The little-known way to the best way to capture your images is when you are having fun. No boring props in a studio and staged shots. Just natural looking images which you’ll treasure forever. Have a look around this website and you’ll see many families having fun and getting great, natural-looking portraits.
What’s an offer like this worth?
A very low-cost and easy way to affordable portraits for you and your family. Even in this economic climate. You CAN afford to get professional images of your loved ones. To have a photo session and images on a CD would normally cost you at least £500 or more.
Which is why “Portraits on CD” is such a bargain at only £75! No session fee, just one low low price for you.
That’s right, a fraction of what it’s really worth. Why would I make it so affordable? Simply because I’ve researched and found that families are fed up of paying high prices for portrait photography. Plus with my expertise & innovative and workflows, we can afford to offer you this amazing deal which other photography studios can’t even dream about! So either give us a call or ping an email and book your session now. Its not too late for VALENTINES!

Trip to The Ice Hotel
Today I arrived in Kiruna, Sweden for probably an adventure of a lifetime. This is the first time I’m here and the initial thoughts & reactions are amazing. This place is wonderful. The Ice Hotel is a very special place and is worth visiting. I’ve got a jam-packed next few days. Tomorrow Jenny from Nikon & Natalie from Digital Photographer Wedding arrive here and we’ll be pushing the Nikon D3s to its limits. Then we have a safari with the husky sledging and then a trip on the snow mobiles to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
On Friday I shoot a wedding of Claire & James at The Ice Hotel. Saturday we travel back to London and then I’m off to Europe’s largest Convention for photographers in Hammersmith. I’ve got my Masterclass at 8.00am on Sunday so will try not to have a late one on Saturday! I say this every year and it never works!!!
On Monday I’m at the Apple Store, Regent Street, London from 7.00-8.00pm to talk about my adventures in the Arctic. On Tuesday I’m off to N.Yorkshire to do a presentation for the British Institute of Professional Photograhers. Then on late Wednesday, home sweet home at last.
Please do log back tomorrow and I’ll try and upload some images from here.

January 14, 2010 - 11:22 pm Hi Uzair, You are the best, you bring real life to photography. Not many people could do that. I have always wanted to visit the Ice Hotel, I would really make an effort some time in the future. Too bad I am going to miss your event at the Apple Store, I would happily go to London for the event, a city that I frequent few times each year. But I have some family matters to attend to in Singapore this time round. Best Wishes, Chris Thio
January 18, 2010 - 2:45 pm Hi Chris Thanks for your message. I will be at the Apple Store later on in the year. So do keep an eye out over here. Best Oz

How to take great Portaits | eDVD
I’m super excited to announce the launch of my new DVD ‘How to take great Portraits’. The website went live today. So what is this DVD all about. Well, I always get this comment from a lot of people whenever I’m shooting that since I’ve got an expensive camera, I take good images. My answer is always that it is not the camera but the person behind it. So to prove this, I created this DVD which shows me taking pictures with a very inexpensive camera. A camera which is affordable and not very expensive.
This DVD is aimed at the hobbyist and the keen photographer (whether amateur or semi-pro) to learn simple techniques.
Also with the credit crunch, many people can’t afford to go to a studio or a professional photographer to get their family shots done. So if you have a camera and wish to take photos of your loved ones which your friends & family will be proud of, then have a look at this eDVD. You can download this straight to your computer within minutes (depending how fast your internet connection is).
Hope you enjoy the eDVD. Runtime is approximately 45 minutes. Please visit the website and have a closer look. The eDVD comes with 4 bonus tracks and a cool 10% Off Discount Code for all Nikon UK training courses.

October 19, 2009 - 7:55 am Thanks very much for this amazing offer. In fact, I applaud you for offering this. I'm a single mum of two. I recently contacted 4 local studios around us and no one was willing to give a price for some photos of my kids. They all wanted me to book the session and then come to see the photos. When I did go to one studio, the pictures were so expensive that I couldn't afford it. Even though I'm about 30mins from Leighton Buzzard, I'll be happy to come over for the photos.
Portraits at Little Brickhill
While driving past one day, I found this little spot in Little Brickhill which is absolutely amazing at this time of the year. The rich gold, yellow & orange autumnal colours make a perfect backdrop for portraits. Who needs a studio with 4 boring walls when we’ve got this!
Katie & Greg are getting married next year and I’m really looking forward to their wedding. They are such a laid back & down to earth couple that I know I’m going to enjoy working with them. So here are some of my fave image from the session. To view the rest, please click on this link. (You’ll need a password which you can get from Katie or Greg).
