Northern Lights, Sweden

Tags

I was extremely fortunate to see the Northern Lights on the first attempt in Sweden recently. In a group of 9 snow mobiles, we travelled about 45 kms in to the wilderness to see the Northern Lights. The experience was just incredible and worth it even though it was bitterly bitterly cold. I think it was around -23C but felt a lot colder than that on the snow mobiles! I was still cold even though I was wearing 4 layers of warm clothing, a jacket and then the snow suit, 3 layers of thermal socks & the snow boots and 2 wooly hats and the helmet!!
