Hello, I'm Uzair, and thanks for joining in. In this video, I'm going to show you how to build awareness with real engagement with Google. So let's head over to our PowerPoint presentation.
Our audience is changing continuously, and Google is bringing real engagement to advertising and making it easier for our customers to find the advertisers. Since the smartphones and tablets came on the scene, our lifestyle has changed completely. We spend more time with our devices now, and the time spent with digital is growing at 16 percent.
TV is still very popular, but it is losing its audience to the digital devices. And as you can see from this slide, eighty percent of people aged between 18 and 29 own a smartphone. Digital is the number one medium, passing TV in 2013, and it is growing. 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, and 83 percent of adults between the ages of 50 and 64 use the internet.
A typical person sees almost 5,000 ads every day. That's a lot of noise, and we need to make sure that our ads or message get through to our right audience. As I said earlier on, our audience is changing continuously. They now expect our ads to educate them, entertain them or even add value.
The users are in complete control as well. They can skip or ignore irrelevant ads. And if your ads are entertaining or educating, they are more likely to be shared on social media, giving you even more audience at very little cost.
So how is Google bringing real engagement to advertising? 54 percent of online ads do not have the opportunity to be seen, and here's how Google is redefining digital media buying. Advertisers don't have to pay for any ads which are not seen or partially seen. So as you can see here, this ad has shown on screen, whereas this one has not.
So looking at these figures, if we were to advertise on Google and compare it with some other network, the CPM, which is the cost per thousand impressions, means every time your ad is shown a thousand times. So the advertiser is paying two dollars on any other network and also on Google. Now here's where the huge and major difference comes in: the viewability.
On other networks, as 54 percent of ads aren't seen or are partially seen, it has been shown 46 percent. So the actual cost per thousand impressions is 4 dollars and 35 cents, compared to Google, where 100 percent of the ads are shown and you pay the two dollars per thousand impressions which you are bidding. Now this is huge. On other networks your cost almost doubles up compared to Google, where you only pay what you are bidding for.
So advertisers only pay for views and not just impressions. When you are on YouTube and you play a video, and a pre-roll ad comes before the video actually plays, and you skip the ad, the advertiser does not get charged. If you choose to watch the ad even after five seconds, the advertiser will only get charged when the user watches that ad for a minimum of 30 seconds or until the ad finishes, whichever comes first.
So if someone is not interested in your ad and they skip your ad, you will not get charged. However, you would have got five seconds of pure branding in front of that visitor. So if you decide to skip the ad after five seconds, the advertiser will not get charged.
Engagement ads are a new kind of ad from Google. They provide 15 times more engagement than a conventional display ad, and the reason is that when someone hovers over the ad, it expands to the full width of the screen, and you can play a YouTube video or show up to 10 different product images within that ad.
We know social media is playing a huge part in online advertising. Now with Google+, you can create social +Post ads and advertise your message to your audience via Google+.
Now whether you are a small one-man-band business or a multinational company, Google has got the audience, be it at a local, national or international level. With Google you can reach almost 88 percent of all global internet users. YouTube has 1 billion users and 169 million unique US viewers. Google has the world's largest display network, and on Google+ you've got over 500 million users. And then there is the search network, where 1.8 billion users are using the Google search page on average three times a day.
So here's how we can find our customers within all this crowd. With affinity targeting we can find the most qualified audience for our product or service. We can target a 32-year-old male who is interested in all these, or a 33-year-old male who's interested in all these.
So to reach the right audience, we have comprehensive options for targeting our customers. We can target our demographics, so targeting is based on a combination of declared data, age or gender. Remarketing is a great way to bring visitors back to your website who did not convert in the first place, so your ads will follow those visitors all over the internet on the Google Display Network. And then we have content and topic targeting, so targeting those web pages that matter most to your brand.
With frequency capping, we can limit the number of times our ads show in front of our audience. Reporting is completely transparent. You can log into your account at any time and see how your ads and campaigns are performing. And you have great flexibility with your ads and campaigns. So if you get too busy, you can pause your campaigns. As the cash flow fluctuates, you can stop and start the campaigns at any time, or you can scale your campaigns as your business grows.
So here's how we can build real awareness for your brand and business. First, we create a strategy to reach your target audience with a very specific brand message. Then we create high-quality professional video in our fully equipped studios. Then you need to allocate some investment towards your online campaigns, and we would recommend between five and twenty percent of your offline budget. And finally, we monitor the success metrics by measuring the reach, the frequency and your brand lift.
I hope you enjoyed this video, and thank you for your time. For more information, please visit our website or get in touch with us by phone or by email. Take care. Bye for now.
