What makes your websites so fast?
We hand-build every page with clean, simple code. There are no heavy templates, page builders or plugins. Images are shrunk and videos only load when someone clicks play.
How does the Speed Challenge work?
Enter your website address on the Speed Challenge page. No email is needed. Google PageSpeed Insights tests your website against ours, and you see the result in under a minute. If your like-for-like business website in the UK, the US and Europe scores higher than ours, you win £50.
Will my website be accessible to disabled people?
Yes. We build every website so it can be read with strong contrast, used with a screen reader and used without a mouse, and we test each page with Google's accessibility checks before it goes live. UK businesses have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, and that includes websites.
Do you build on WordPress?
No. WordPress websites rely on themes and plugins, and that's what slows them down. We hand-build ours for speed.
Can I update the website myself?
You don't need to. Changes are part of our updates and maintenance, so you just tell us what you need and we do it.
Do you host the website?
Yes. We host it on fast, secure servers and look after the technical side for you.
Will I lose my Google rankings when I move?
We redirect your old pages to the new ones, so you keep the rankings you've earned.
How long does a new website take?
It depends on the size of the website. Before we start, we give you a clear timeline with dates.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Hosting and updates are monthly, with no long contract.
