As per the new update from Google Ads, users will not have the option to promote their sports betting ads or services via the Google Ads platform in Florida. This change is already in place from the 24th of November 2021.
The announcement by Google was that “the gambling and the ad policy of Google Ads specifically for the United States will disable placing any sports betting ads in Florida.”

These changes were in accordance with the Washington D.C. federal court’s ruling. The ruling invalidates the Florida-Seminole Tribal Gaming Compact, which makes sports betting will be classified as illegal in Florida.

As a result, the company is disallowing any ads relating to sports betting in the state of Florida. The company has already begun the enforcement of this ban from the 24th of November 2021.
