Manage your campaign more effectively and closely by paying more attention to your Google Ads Optimisation Score. Your score essentially is illustrating to you whether your account at this current moment in time is fulfilling its potential.

Manage your campaign more effectively and closely by paying more attention to your Google Ads Optimisation Score.

Your score essentially is illustrating to you whether your account at this current moment in time is fulfilling its potential.

Your score can range from 0% all the way through to 100% with the latter meaning that your account is indeed taking advantage of all the opportunities that it comes across. To do this effectively follow these 3 steps:-

1.  Manage your account more efficiently  

Do some research in order to establish what actions you take will have the biggest influence on your optimisation.

The reason you’re going to want to do this is that when carrying out its assessment in order to establish your score it will look at historical data in order to arrive at a realistic score.

At the moment it is only available to help you with Search campaigns however I anticipate that Google will subsequently release these updates to support video, display and shopping campaigns.

2.    Apply recommendations that align with your marketing goals

Go to the recommendations tab which is where you can see your optimisation score.

Go through these recommendations and carry out the actions it’s suggesting to you. Doing so will improve your optimisation score.

Focus on recommendations based on score uplift & dismiss recommendations not relevant to your goals. Check the recommendations at least once a week.

3.    Analyze recommendations

If you have a lot of recommendations it might be easier for you to go through them by filtering them into sections so you can focus on each one without getting confused as to where you were at.

You also don’t have to take action there and then, you can download your recommendations if you need more time to think this over and then you can go from there.
