Google Ads Tips: How To Speed Up Your Mobile Page

We’ve all been there before, you search for something and want to make a simple purchase on your mobile phone, and you find it extremely difficult and frustrating to make that transaction. The site or landing page is too slow to load, the checkout process is confusing and you abandon your cart in frustration. Here I will show you how to speed up your mobile website page load speed.

Hello, I’m Uzair and in this video I’m going to give you 5 simple tips to optimise your mobile website page load speed.

This situation can have a dramatic impact on your business’s bottom line. For online retailers, a one-second delay in page load time can impact conversions by up to 20%, meaning too many companies are missing out on conversions that should be quick & easy.

Now the web pages are indexed and ranked based on the experience they provide mobile users. With the Mobile-first index, Google will use the mobile url for ranking purposes.

The good news is that there are quick fixes that you can implement to optimize your mobile website experience. These steps can produce big wins immediately.

Here are 5 simple ways to optimize your mobile site speed.

  • Check your mobile site speed

Using Google’s free Test My Site tool, you can quickly assess the mobile performance of your website.

  1. Reduce page weight
Most sites are too heavy for mobile devices. The average mobile site is around 3MB. Google recommends page weight of less than 1MB.
  2. Remove Automatic Image Carousels.

Your visitors to your web page are likely to see the first image in a carousel before they start scrolling. Reduce page weight by removing the carousel.

  1. Use Google Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP)

AMP creates better, faster experiences on the mobile web. AMP allows your to build lightweight mobile pages by simplifying the HTML and following streamlined CSS rules.

  1. Use Content Delivery Network

CDN provides faster delivery of internet content based on the geographic location of the user & the origin of the website.
