Read the video transcript

Don’t drop the ball at the finish line. So, someone clicked your ad? Great. But what happens next? Do they land on a page that's relevant to the ad? Is it easy to navigate? Does it clearly explain your offer? If not, people will bounce faster than you can say Google Ads audit. Make sure your landing pages are optimised for conversions, use clear headlines, concise copy and a strong call to action.

The goal is to guide the visitor seamlessly through the process, whether it's making a purchase, filling out a form, or whatever your desired action might be.

So, you’ve got someone to click on your ad. That’s fantastic! But now, what happens next? The next step is crucial. You need to make sure that your landing page is optimised for conversions. If not, people will leave your site faster than you can say “Google Ads audit.” Here are some simple tips to ensure your landing pages turn visitors into customers.

1. Make Sure Your Landing Page is Relevant

When someone clicks on your ad, they expect to find information about what it promised. If your ad was about a special discount on running shoes, the landing page should showcase those running shoes and the discount. If the landing page matches the ad, visitors will get clear and leave. Keep your content relevant and focused.

2. Use Clear Headlines

Use Clear Headlines

Your headline is the first thing visitors see, so make it clear and compelling. It should immediately convey what your offer is about. For example, if you’re offering a free trial, your headline could be, “Get Your Free Trial Now!” This grabs attention and sets the expectation for the visitor.

3. Write Concise Copy

Write Concise Copy

People don’t have time to read long paragraphs. Keep your copy short and to the point. Highlight the benefits of your product or service and explain why the visitor should take action. Use bullet points to make the information easy to scan. Remember, less is more.

Your CTA is what you want the visitor to do next. It could be “Buy Now,” “Sign Up,” or “Learn More.” Make your CTA stand out with a contrasting colour and place it in a prominent position on the page. Be clear about what the visitor will get by clicking the CTA.

5. Make Navigation Easy

A landing page should be simple to navigate. Remove any unnecessary links or distractions that could take the visitor away from the desired action. The goal is to guide them smoothly through the process, whether it’s making a purchase, filling out a form, or something else.

6. Optimise for Mobile

Images can make your landing page more attractive and engaging. Use high-quality photos that are relevant to your offer. Avoid using too many images that could slow down the page loading time. Balance is key.
