SEO Copywriting For Brands – Effective Tips To Follow

Copywriting is the type of writing in which you create “copies,” i.e., content that is designed to promote or advertise a certain product or service. However, some search engines like Bing are careful about ranking content that is grammatically correct.

Our personal recommendation for finding and removing grammar errors from content is based on the following steps:

  • When you’re done writing, take a short break and then come back to the content. Read it a couple of times from start to finish while keeping your eyes peeled for any possible grammar or spelling errors.
  • It can help to read the content out loud. That way, even if you mentally skip an error, you’re able to hear yourself saying it wrong. This has worked for me a lot of times personally.
  • With all of these steps, you should also use a grammar checker or a spell checker tool on the Internet as a good measure. There are many of them that you can find online.

7. Be sure to find and remove plagiarism

Last but not least, another very important step that you should always take when preparing SEO content is checking for plagiarism.

Plagiarism is the bane of every writing process. It is akin to poison in its lethality.

If there is plagiarism in your content and you publish it on your website, the search engines will hit it with a penalty. A penalty for committing plagiarism on your website can be anything from a rank reduction to complete website removal from the search engine index.

Whatever the outcome is, it’s not usually pleasant.

There is a routine that you should follow every time that you write content. Remember, plagiarism isn’t just the sentences or the passages that you copy deliberately but it is also the stuff that you write accidentally in the same way as someone else has already done.

In other words, you don’t have to be an active plagiarist to commit plagiarism. You could just be coincidentally unfortunate.

  • When you write the content, make sure to run it through an online plagiarism detection tool.
  • If the tool shows that the content is completely unique and there is no plagiarism in it, then that’s that. You can finalize it and hand it in however you want.
  • But if there are any traces of plagiarism in there, then you have to remove them before you do anything. There are a number of different ways in which you can get rid of plagiarism. We recommend paraphrasing the text, i.e., writing it in your own words and style but not changing the actual meaning.
