I’m super excited to announce that I’ve just been YouTube Certified. So what is YouTube Certified program and what does it mean to you as a client. The benefit of being YouTube Certified is that I can demonstrate job skill and recognition of a high-value industry-standard credential and recognised by YouTube as a certified professional. I’m now one of the very few professionals to have both the badges for Google Partner as well as YouTube Certification.
To get certified, the coursework needs to be studied, which usually takes around 14 – 16 hours and also have a complete knowledge & workaround of the YouTube interface. The exam is 2 hrs long and you need a minimum of 75% to pass it. I was thrilled to get 98% and gutted that I missed 100% just by a whisker!
The course includes topics such as content ownership, asset monetization, channel growth & content strategy. Other topics include:
- Evolving marketing landscape
- Defining a video content strategy
- Creative treatments for video content
- Optimising video distribution
- Working with creators
- Platform overview
- Channel Assesment
- Channel Revenue
- Asset monetisation for revenue
- Revenue analysis and reporting
- Copyright on YouTube

So as you can see, this certification is extremely comprehensive and gives me the know-how & expertise in every aspect of YouTube.
