Hello, the question I’ve been sent is. What are Negative keywords in Google Ads? Negative keywords are your best friend in Google Ads because it’s going to save you a lot of money and stop you from losing your cash.
It will stop your ads showing up for search terms which are irrelevant for your product or service. So when someone searches something on Google and you don’t want your ads to show up for the search term, you add that term or word as a negative keyword in your account.
Now you can set up negative keywords at the ad group level, campaign level, or at the account level. If you are a beginner and your campaign structure is fairly straight forward and not very complicated, then what I would recommend you do is you set up negative keywords at the account level.
And to do that is all you need to do is to create an account level negative keyword list.And you apply that list to all your campaigns. And then in one go, no matter whether you’re running one campaign or 10, all the campaigns will have that negative keyword list.
And it’s going to save you a lot of money. Now, using negative keywords will help you save money, make more profit, make your campaigns more profitable, increase your click-through rate which will lead to increase of your Quality Score and you will get lower CPCs and your cost per conversion is also going to go down because your ads are being shown for relevant search terms and more likelihood is that you will get more conversions.
So that’s the easiest reply I can give for negative keywords to use it and use it regularly. If it’s a small account at least add negative keywords once a week. I look into your search term queries.
