Google has announced an expansion of Google Display Ads Optimization Score to include display ad campaigns.
These changes to the optimization score mean that you can now get statistics for search, shopping and display.
An optimization score is set from 0% to 100%. A full score of 100% means that the campaign is meeting all of Google’s recommendations and there are no improvements that can be made. The score allows advertisers to spot ways to improve their campaign and see which recommendations they should act on first to have the most impact.
The fact that this score is now available for display ads is great news for advertisers that are incorporating them into their Google Ads. We should, however, say that these scores should be directionally only and you should consider whether the recommendations are appropriate for your ads.
