Today’s consumers are looking in entirely new ways. People can search for what they see using Multiple Search Near Me and get a feel for a place on Google Maps before they step inside. This is just one step on the long-term path to making Google search easier, with visual-first experiences that help people quickly identify and connect with creators and businesses – wherever they’re searching.
To take advantage of these efforts, Google announced design changes in their search results that make it easier for people to learn about websites and businesses at a glance – and they’re also extending these changes to search ads. That’s why Google is rolling out business names and logos for mobile search ads as a beta in the coming weeks.

As the search results page becomes more visually engaging, we want to ensure that people continue to connect with your business with rich ads that are clearly differentiated from the search results.
This is why your ads on mobile search will now be ranked by placing the word “Sponsored” in a prominent place in the top right corner of the ad.
Eligibility Requirements For Business Names And Logos
You will need to meet certain eligibility requirements and complete the Google Ads verification program for business names and logos to appear in your ads. This is to protect the advertiser’s brand identity and user safety during the beta.
All company names and logos will be reviewed for compliance with Google Ads policies and formatting requirements.
In cases where Google Ads is unable to include your business name, Google Ads will display the domain from your display URL instead. They will add a blue globe icon if we can’t display your logo.

Business logos are available globally to advertisers who meet our eligibility requirements and complete our verification program. The company names are available in English, Japanese, French and German to get started, and will begin rolling out in additional languages early next year. Google Ads teams will make it easier for advertisers to meet eligibility requirements over the course of the beta period.
Business names and logos are currently available for mobile search ads and will be coming to the desktop next year.
