The Complete Small Business YouTube Video Marketing System

The Complete Small Business YouTube Video Marketing System
Read the video transcript

Okay, I believe we are live. Oh, okay, I believe we live, good morning, good afternoon and evening wherever you are in the world. My name is Uzair, thanks for being with me today. In this YouTube live, if you have any questions, then please put them in the comment box below. Or if you're watching this as a recording, then put them in the comment box at the bottom of the video and I will endeavour to reply to each and every comment or question that I have...Today I'm going to be talking about our video marketing system, how we create content, how we get the ideas for the content, how we manage the content, the workflow, pretty much everything.

So you get an insight as to how we can keep on top of, of the, of the work. Right now, as you know we can’t go out, the only way to reach out to the world is through online marketing. We have got all these channels like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any of the social media channels that you are good at, to put your message across.I'm focusing and concentrating especially on YouTube, but I will be starting live on Instagram in an hour's time.

So if you are available, why not join me on Instagram? We are SF Digital Studios and you can have a conversation with me, ask me any questions. It's the first one I'm doing, so I don't know how it’s going to go. But I'll try, I'm sure it's not rocket science, it’s fairly straightforward, but yeah, I can try and see what happens.

Alright, so I'm going to share my screen...Business and for ourselves attending business networking events and local marketing was very restrictive and you can only do so much. Whereas with online marketing, especially with video, you can reach out to the world and we now have more customers overseas than in the...whole world, from the comfort of my desk. So this is why that was the whole intention, it was only two years ago where we had no YouTube presence and our channel was pretty much dead.

There was nothing happening, I started putting up content and in just about over two years, we've got about 11,000 subscribers. The key to it is consistently put up content, it’s not going to start working from day one. And you don't need, you cannot give up, you just keep going. So that was the whole idea ind it and now it has gone on to YouTube lives.

As you know, this is my 19th straight day, every weekday I’ve been here at five o'clock and I'm happy to share my experience with you guys. Now, the biggest problem and challenge is how to get ideas for your content. After a few days, you might find that, Ooh, I don't have anything to talk about. There are so many ideas you can get from the internet.

So we don't want to reinvent the wheel and wreck our brain. Why not create content for what people are asking about? So my favourite and the best place to go is Quora. Quora is the internet's hidden jewel where you can find lots of questions that people are asking. So if I go to Google Ads, I will find all these questions being asked by people.

You will see replies by other influencers or other people who want to put themselves out there as an expert in their niche. So this is a question, “How can I get tons of fake clicks on my link or site?” That's a weird question, why would you want to get fake clicks? So you get all sorts, you can filter out the good ones from the bad ones.

“What are some top reasons Google?”, but you get the gist, right? There's so much content over here on every topic. You can imagine there is everything on here. It's a huge, huge site. So that's where I will find my content. First of all, then I can start talking about it by creating a Q and A like 've done before, or I'm doing it right now as well...

I start to get emails from my email list or people who know me and ask me questions, I can answer. But if you don't have any questions to start with you go here and ask questions. I also use Quora for online marketing and ads, running ads over here, I started this recently and I'm very pleasantly surprised as to how good this is.

And this is that I've had 31,000 impressions so far, 279 clicks. That's the CTR, it's only five pence per click. So for 14 pounds and 64 pence, and I've just been running this what, since April 13, as you can see over here and it started, so I'm promoting my YouTube lives over here. This is my ad, why isn't that going in the ad?

Let's try the edit. I'm also fairly new to this interface there you go. You put in a graphic like this or an image. The headline is ‘get your digital marketing questions answered every weekday’. This click will take them, someone, to my blog or wherever I want to send them. You create your ad over here, choose your image, it’s fairly straightforward and this is where the landing page is.

So I'm sending the traffic to those people. You can either promote it by image ad, text ad or promote an answer. If you put an answer on there, I'm targeting people who are interested in digital marketing and Google Ads, video ads, and so on. So extremely highly targeted traffic from here at a fraction of the price. If you've got a very low budget, you can start over here, build up your following very, very quickly.

Then once you have got your ideas, you need to organize and keep things super organized. Otherwise you are going to get into a right mess when you scale your content marketing. Because if you are just yourself, you will know where you save everything, but when you get other people to help you out, you need to have a system, without that system, you just cannot operate.

You'll waste more time trying to find things than to just get the job done. ally, when I started...Google sheets, a couple of tools, Canva, and Asana for our workflow. Everything starts from a Google sheet, so each video or job has got a number, right, a numeric number. And you will see that we've got literally loads over here, right?

And we have the YouTube URL, the headline, the blog URL, and so on in here. So everything starts from here. And then each job or video has got a folder with the same number as on the Google sheet. We keep all the assets over here, be it the images, the video files, raw video, edit, everything to do with that video will be in each one of these folders.

To create the thumbnails we use Canva, super easy. They have a free version as well, but we've got the paid one, it does a few more things. It's amazing, it's very easy to use. You just drop the photo or the image, the logos, etc, put the text in, and then you can just download it as a PNG or a JPEG file, which is the custom image for the front of the video.

Or you can create a square shape, one for Instagram or any other channels where you want that as a square shape, so you can resize it very quickly. If I want to go in here and want to resize, I just click on there, choose which one I want, and it is going to resize the whole image. I can then tweak it around extremely quickly and then download it straight away to my desktop or wherever I want to publish it.

So Canva is one of the tools which we use, obviously with every piece of content we create. Then this is where, this is the heart of everything, the workflow. In Asana, you can use something like Trello, Basecamp, or whatever project management tool you wish to create you can use. But I use Trello, It's okay to get started.

If you're a one man or two man band or women. But now we've got a lot more people involved, so it's a lot easier and it can manage. It's more powerful I believe than some of the other tools out there....This is our marketing calendar, you can see that we schedule these jobs which have got a number, the video number in front of it, and allocated to whoever is doing that.

We just keep on uploading content over here. Then we have a card for each job or a card has got a card on itself. So we've got that same number on there and I'll just go and open up a template. We've got to repeat all of these things for each and every video we create. We create a Google folder, then we transcribe it using Temi.

The video editor starts working on it, what needs to be done. Then we go into Canva, we check them off. So this is a long checklist of about, I think, 120 odd things to do. So no matter who is doing it every time it's repeatable and scalable, we don't miss out on YouTube. We have all these things to do.

Then we put the video on our WordPress blog and make it into a blog post as well, because you want to repurpose the content you're creating, not just put it up on YouTube. We put it up on Facebook, LinkedIn articles or all of these places you can upload or share upload either to the native platform or embed the YouTube video on there.

These are all creating backlinks to your website. We put up on LinkedIn articles, LinkedIn posts, which is on my personal feed. Then we have a LinkedIn SF digital company page. That's where we put up the same video as well. Put it up on Pinterest, Google post, medium, Instagram, Quora. We also started doing a daily motion as well.

That's another video sharing platform and it's, it gets ranked in Google extremely quickly and very fast. So this is our complete workflow, which we then keep on repeating. As you can see that this is our board, we get a birds eye view as to who's doing what and where each job is at which stage, and who's doing it.

Now, this works for us, you can create your own workflow, but you need to keep everything organised. When the job is done, it goes under the done column, this is how we pretty much go from A to Z with our video marketing content and process. Now, after it has been put up, then what we also do is we'll put up a tweet, especially on Twitter, because there's so much noise out there.

You have got to keep putting it up, but the problem most people have is you don't have the content. We have the opposite problem. We've got so much content now that it’s unbelievable. I'll give you a very quick example of, so this session or this video, which will end up being about what, 20 minutes long or something like that, this is going to go on YouTube as a full video, but then we download it and chop it into smaller videos and create multiple videos out of it to create more content.

You can do the same thing, you can create a 60 second video or three minute videos or, or whatever, then you are going to create a lot of content for yourself. That's how you're going to get your name and message out there. So we've got, everybody's been fairly quiet today on the chat, but if you have any questions and ping it across to me.

But, in 40 minutes time at six o'clock if you get time, I will be going live on Instagram and you can join me and we can do a Q and A, ask me any questions you may have, and I'll be happy to answer them for you. Thank you WSI priority media for your comment and being with me over here.

So that's it for today's YouTube live, thanks for being here. If you have any comments or you would like to share something with the others, then put them in the comment box below and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Same time at five o'clock for tomorrow's YouTube blog, take care until then stay safe and bye for now.

We are really passionate about helping people get the most out of Google and YouTube. YouTube has so many benefits and allows you to reach a huge audience when you publish content consistently. This blog gives you some tips on how to set up your YouTube channel. You don’t have to be perfect the first time, keep going and enjoy your YouTube journey!

Creating a new YouTube Channel

When you create your Google Account you have the opportunity to watch videos, ‘like’ other videos, as well as the capability to subscribe to more channels. If you do not have your own YouTube channel you will not have an online or public presence on YouTube. Once you create your Google Account you are still required to create your own YouTube channel to upload your own videos, comments and make your own playlists. All you need to create a YouTube channel is a computer or mobile device with a good internet connection.

Creating a business channel with multiple owners

Here’s how to create a channel for your business or under another name that will allow other people to manage it or own it. You can do this by using a ‘Brand Account’ which lets you create a channel under a different name but is still managed via your Google Account. You can learn more about that under Brand accounts.

On your computer or mobile device sign into YouTube:

  1. Find your channel list
  2. Create a new channel or use one of your existing accounts (Brand Account)
    • Click ‘Create a new channel’
    • For an existing Brand Account, create a YouTube channel by choosing the relevant brand account from the list
    • If you already have a channel linked to a Brand Account, you are unable to create a new one
    • If that is the case it will open up that brand account channel
  3. Go ahead and complete the information needed to name the new channel and verify the account.
  4. Click ‘Done’.You have created your new Brand Account
  5. Where you want to add another person to manage the account ‘channel manager’ go to the instructions to ‘change channel owner and managers’.

There is so much more than you can learn on how to make the most out of your channels with a business or other name on YouTube.
