If you want to boost your marketing in a huge way, you are going to want to consider making use of Google Ads. To do that, you need to know how to set up a Google Ads account and what the major considerations need to be.

You also need to know how to create a campaign and how to make sure that it is going to be a great success.

In this blog, we will take a look at both of these matters now, to help make things easier for any newcomers out there. If you would like to find out more about these practices you can watch this video too.

How To Set Up Google Ads Account

Before you can set up a campaign, you need to make sure that you have a Google Ads account, and that it is configured properly for campaigns to work as they should. However, this is much simpler than you might think, so don’t worry!

The first thing you need to do is learn a few basic terms. Most importantly, you need to know what a keyword is – this is a term or phrase that people type into Google to search for.

A bid is the maximum amount that you are willing to pay in return for someone clicking your link. With quality score you can determine how relevant the keywords are for your ad, while the ad rank shows where your ad will show.

In order to properly organise your account, you need to break down your products and services into categories. You have two major groups in Ads: campaigns and ad groups, with campaigns being in charge of larger categories.

Once you have decided on that, you need to set your budget by looking at your daily budget and your bids. How much is up to you, but it’s best to spread your budget evenly across campaigns at first.

Then it’s about using the keyword planner to find the right keywords for your campaign, and setting the keyword match types and landing pages. Now all you need to do is actually write your ads, and link it all up to your Google Analytics account.

How To Set Up Create A Google Ads Campaign

When it comes to creating a campaign, there are a few things to bear in mind. First, you need to sign in to your Google Ads account, and click on Campaigns on the left hand side, then the plus button, then New Campaign.

Next, you need to select goals for your campaign, or none if you are not happy with any of the choice of goals.

Next up, you need to decide on your campaign type. This determines where people will actually see your ads, so it is important to get it right. They each have different setups and best practices, so you need to look through them and determine which is best for you.

When you are looking at the settings on the next page, you will need to take great care to ensure that you choose the right options for the campaign to be a success. You can find out more about that on the video linked above, or by looking at the sources at the end of this article.
