Google Ads offers so much potential to so many different kinds of businesses. One of those is photography. Unfortunately, however, there are many photography companies out there that don’t realise the value that Google Ads can offer them.
The photography sector (particularly in areas like wedding photography) is incredibly competitive, but you don’t need us to tell you that. That competition means you need to think creatively when it comes to generating leads. Google Ads is one such way.

One of the easiest ways you can stand out as a photographer is to offer value up-front to your customers. This helps you stand out from the crowd, and one of the easiest ways of offering that value is through video ads and display ads.
Photography is arguably the most visual industry there is, so use that to your advantage. Customers don’t want to read about your work, they want to see your work. With Google Ads, you can create video advertisements that show on YouTube (and other Google Partner websites), as well as stunning display (image-based) ads that can truly showcase your skills as a photographer/videographer to the world.
Be Specific With Your Targeting
Having great-looking ads is one thing, but if they’re not reaching your intended audience, then it counts for very little. But that’s another great thing about Google Ads. It lets you target exactly who you want to. You can configure your ads so that they show up for specific keywords, user demographics, locations, or by certain websites and URLs. There’s so much scope for customising your ads, the world really is your oyster!
Be warned, though, if your ads aren’t set up properly, and are too broad with their targeting, then the quality of traffic you’ll receive will be poor. Let’s say you’re a wedding photographer, you might get lots of people clicking on your ad, but if they’re not organising a wedding anytime soon, then that’s money down the drain.
